loquacious
- Monday, August 11, 2008 -
according to shaun, i'm loquacious
loquacious
Pronunciation: (lo-KWAY-shuhs)
Meaning: adjective: talkative; wordy
Etymology: From Latin loqui (to speak). The word loquacious has a NEGATIVE sense, but a positive word to come out of the same Latin root is eloquent.
now, let's take a poll
is it better to describe me as eloquent or loquacious?
(sorry, i'm ego)
please be honest, because, as the saying goes: a friend wouldn't want to offend you, but a true friend wouldn't be afraid to offend you.
yup =] it would be nice if you provided reasons as well, otherwise SHAUN wouldn't believe you. he'd just say to me, 'oh, you're friends are just trying to be nice and not hurt your ego (by the way, i have too large an ego, and it would benefit me if a few blows were dealt to it)' =]
