eggs
- Monday, September 15, 2008 -
this is going to be a highly random post... because i'm simply procrastinating from studying. BLEAH!
i've decided that it sucks to learn history because you have to cram the whole textbook. otherwise it would actually be HIGHLY interesting.
but noooooooooooooo, the ******* school system has to make sure you remember EVERY SINGLE DETAIL so you can write 5 "essays" in 1 hour (plus multiple choice) great. just GREAT.
ok, anyway...
eggs.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. yes yes, i know, all of you are going "luoning is losing her mind" - rightly so may i say - "because she's laughing over the word eggs"
hmm.
sooo, today i was on the bus
then there were these adorable primary school kids in front of me.
and because i was so bored and dead, i couldn't help *cough cough cough* eavesdropping on their conversation.
- which wasn't really of that much interest. just random stuff -
but, at one point, they were like (to the people in front of them)
"hey, let's play EGGS~!"
which totally triggered my curiosity. (like i said, cough cough cough. i am soooo losing my mind ><")
turns out, eggs is a pretty simple game. you "curl up" on the bus seat like an "egg" ie lift up your legs and wrap your arms around it. then you try to remain in that position while the bus turns around corners, goes up and down speed humps and the "ultimate challenge": the 270 degree roundabout turn. LOL.
like i said, how totally adorable.
enough of my senseless ramblings, shall continue to go mug T_T
i hate mugs!!! ><"
oooh~~!! er. i decided i have more to say
(although it no longer has to do with the title)
today me and diana were defacing my teacher's awards in music!! cause i exchanged 3 for an executive award. so yup.
and then diana first blanked out my name with marker and then wrote in whiteout "diana yang"
i then blanked out the "for" section and filled it in with "being stupid"
and then it was a mad tug-of-war while we hastily scribbled out and rewrote and scribbled and rewrote names. to the point where.. well. my teacher awards really do look like abstract works of art, LOL =]
oh oh oh and GUESS WHAT?! i got 19/20 for my reflecto, whee~!
and it was hilarious, cause doug underlined this part of my reflecto and then wrote "deliberate pun?!"
and so when he came around while we were working on practice papers, so he could look busy and like he was doing something (when he was obviously not), i asked him about it
and he was like. oh.
THAT. did you mean "blah blah blah"? as well? cause that's really
sophisticated.and i was just like. hmm, you know what, i just think i really DID deliberately mean that pun XD
obviously, i suck at lying. so yeah.
he was kind enough to go: oh
really now. wonderful, you THINK you meant it. i guess that's better than not meaning it at all.
- doug walks off -
hahahahahaha!
and senseless ramblings continued.
I AM DEPRESSED. (er ok. doesn't totally fit the mood.. but)
i only got 22/25 for my history essays!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO T_T
stupid gleeson, OH MY GOSH lah.
i got 15/15 for the first essay (thank YOU mrs owens who marked those), but gleeson gave me 7/10 for the 2nd essay. SO UNFAIR T_T
as one can imagine, the minute i got the papers back i started complaining (cough, more like whining T_T) to miss reynolds.
e.g. "meeeeeeeee-isssssssssssssssss!!! WHY did i ONLY get SEVEN for the essay?!!!!!!!!!!!!"
sach was highly amused. she went "look at how OUTRAGED elaine sounds"
but yup, miss reynolds kindly (and obligingly) read through my essay and then she shook her head, smiled, and went "you know what? i would've given that at least a 9. i'll help you go ask mr gleeson about why he took 3 marks off you. i have a feeling it was because he has unkindly feelings towards you, seeing as you made him read through a full 2 pages worth of tiny words"
LOL! AHHH MR GLEESON IS BIASED T_T *sobs*
haha, so i was gushing my thanks and appreciation (as usual)
and miss reynolds was just like "no worries. anyway, don't stress. i would've sneaked in and changed it to a 9 if i could" sach then interrupted helpfully "but i don't think mr gleeson would be very happy if he caught you" and then miss reynolds continued "but anyway, even if he refuses to give you more marks, at least we all know you're going to shine in trials"
SO THAT IS WHY I REALLY SHOULD GO STUDY HISTORY NOW T_T
er.. one last thing (highly amusing, what meant to be a short, take-a-break blog post is now a full length recount of my day. in reversed chronological order.. like a tagboard, almost ><)
anyway, since going to ruse is final, and i'm supposed to go to this stupid orientation thing this thursday (and MISS OUT ON VS-ING KILLARA IN FRISBEE. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO T_T) daddy decided it was time to notify the school (both he and me decided it wasn't going to be very nice to lie to the school and explain my absence on thursday as me being sick. i get sick pretty often, but not THAT often)
and so yup, handed in an 'official' letter to my year advisor, ms cobden
sidenote: i practically don't know her at all, and i doubt she knows me all that well. and the fact is, i DO NOT like her. don't ask me why, i just don't. i'm not going to go into a ranting rage on why i DO NOT like her, because that would take way too long. but rest assured, i have my reasons. and i think my disliking of her is pretty justified.
anyway, so it was extremely awkward when she skimmed through the letter and started gushing all over me
"elaine! i'm GOING TO CRY! how COULD you go to james ruse?! i KNOW it's the best school (er *cough cough*, so was the previous qn rhetorical?) but in what ways isn't carlingford as good as james ruse? (and this is probably a question i.. wouldn't want to answer. sigh. conflicting interests)
anyway, like i said, extremely awkward. and i'm not joking, she seriously said "i am going to cry"
i have eyewitnesses (or earwitnesses. whatever)
err.. why i am blogging about this, i have no idea.
i guess it's just. urgh it's final, no going back. the school is going to be notified soon, and well.. argh
argh argh.
the exchange with cobden was awkward, but looking back it's rather hilarious.
it definitely won't be as awkward when my subject teachers find out... but i wonder how i'm going to answer them when they ask me why.
hopefully, i'll have enough time to compose a politically correct and generic, unoffending answer, before i have to face this other.. form of a trial. yet so much more dreaded T_T
