very tired right now T_T supposed to be from 7am - 9pm, ended up like.. 7am - 11pm? zzzzzzz WE SHOULD'VE STAYED OVERNIGHT IN CANBERRA!!!!!
but awww, it was only a daytrip. sad sad sad sad sad.
hmm ok i should stop whining, and just upload photos instead right? xDD

hmm, so after sorting and stuff, here are.. 20 something photos. sry, too tired to upload any more. i took like.. 300+++ photos? HAHAHAHA. but yup. i kind of got lazy, so there's absolutely no photos of the war memorial and stuff T_T

hmm, sky! very cloudy, it rained on the way to canberra T_T lone tree xDD
and then we arrived at canberra! yay! after short visit to info centre, we decided to make our way to floriade! but first, LUNCH xDD hmm, so after spending a whole half hour looking for a parking space, we got off, and set up picnic by THE lake (hmm. why i say THE lake you all shall see later) in the park, and i started taking photos again.
and look at my luck!! SWAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =]
ahhhh sooooooooooooooooo cute. swan with it's little ducklings? *cough* forgot what baby swan is called T_T
yup, i'm swan crazy.

and after a wonderful picnic, off we move to FLORIADE! ok, word of warning, i have more than 100 photos of floriade, so these are all rather random choices.. yup

wanted to get sunset, but the sun went and hid behind the clouds T_T so we went off the tower earlier than expected, cause well, can't catch sunset already T_T
hmm, ok, i'm so DEAD right now. not doing the trip justice, so shall ATTEMPT to recount with words now.
(for those who are already bored, don't bother to read xDD the photos are infinitely better than my pathetic explanation)
well, woke up at 6:30 in the morning, and we started our road trip at 7am! yay! 4 hours drive, bleargh. i slept until we got on to the highway xDD and then i spent 3 whole hours just staring out the window at the countryside flashing past at 110km/hr...
i can never get enough of the blue skies in australia!! halfway it started POURING with rain, really, and i was happily watching little drops of water defying gravity and trekking across the window horizontally xDD very cute~ LOL. hmm am i losing my mind? yup.
looking at the countryside, i don't know, it's just so.. peaceful. and well, the feeling that the world is really so so so so so huge. and it's all His creation. the rolling plains, the green pastures, the beautiful trees just sprouting new leaves, the mountains looming in the distance. oops overly cliche, yes? but that's really what it is. bleah.

finding a parking spot was.. horrible, so i shall not linger on it.
picnic was very nice!! the lake was.. woah... the picture says it all. and i really really couldn't believe it when the swans came on the bank! YAY, picture taking galore!!! i have, 30 photos of swans now! although it's black swans, but still, SWANS! baby swans some more, very very cute!!! =]

and then floriade!
(sidetrack. i'm already dying here T_T ahhhh. ok shall make this fast)
it's just overwhelming. flowers and flowers and flowers and flowers and flowers and flowers, everywhere. and such beautiful flowers, the colours, the scents, the textures, the rustling of leaves not drowned out by the drabble of the crowds... sensory overload!!!!
i practically took a closeup of every single species of flower which i could discern, so yup...... *hides away from ppl who think i'm crazy*

australian war memorial! (shall refrain from saying anything. cause really too tired)
ok ok, it was rather.. haunting, really. the soaring ceilings, the dim lighting, the echoes which bounced back and forth whenever one talked, all the exhibitions.. ahh.. and then there was the roll of honour, which spanned all around the outer gallery of the memorial, tens of thousands of names carved into stone... the names being the soldiers' only remaining legacy. sad T_T

telstra tower! 900m above sea lvl, the view was breathtaking. the wind wildly blowing my hair into my face did not stop me from taking photos! but they didn't turn out as nice as i had hoped they would. oh well T_T

and then it was time to go home. after dinner (at macdonalds T_T zzzzzzz) the drive home took what.. 5 hours?! cause it started storming (thank God that the whole day was clear while we were at canberra) and my dad drove slower PLUS it was at night.. so yup. and somehow i couldn't fall asleep on the car, cause i was feeling depressed that we were leaving canberra. cause i love canberra!!! xDD
and well, 5 hours in the dark on a car when everyone's quiet and all one can hear is the slight rumble of the engine and the endless pattering of rain outside... one thinks about a lot of stuff. and yup.
okok, i shall refrain from emo-ing. bleah.

and OH, it's ALREADY daylight saving (and i thought there was still a few weeks time)
so there's 3 hours time diff now. SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! T_T saddening saddening saddening. sigh.
