-really cannot do homework any longer. if not i'll really just turn into a machine who churns out nicely done homework (er yeah, me and my ego *coughcough*)-
SWIMMING CARNIVAL TOMORROW! a well deserved break. like, the past few days i've been sooooo weighed down (it seems like ages and ages and ages although it's only been what. monday and tuesday now that i think of it. zzzzzzzzzzz)
but YES i am DROPPING A SCIENCE i cannot continue on with this madness anymore I NEED FREE PERIODS and I NEED LESS SUBJECTS = LESS HOMEWORK = i can focus on my horrible, HORRIBLE maths. the irony that maths used to be one of my best/fav subjects throughout my whole life, and now it's the only subject i'm struggling with.
english is highly interesting (quite a huge workload, but interesting), music is just wonderful (yup i am definitely not dropping music anymore! it's too nice! XD), and bio is amusing (we looked at er.. rat sperm HAHAHAHAHAHAH under the microscope) and chem is nice and phy is nice as well, BUT i think i will drop physics. cause it's reminding me of maths. LOL XD and er yeah, cause i have no plans at all to go into engineering, so yes.
and maths is just tedious, boring, horrid, makes me feel dumb, stealing away my time, and ARGH. everything bad. I WISH I COULD DROP MATHS. now that i think of it, seriously, why AM i doing maths? but yes, i shall slog on with maths and live up to the stereotype of being "asian" zzzzzzzzzz.
ANYWAY. i'm highly amused by the school song (YES WE GOT OUR DIARIES, YAY)
We're honest, courteous and kind,
And we are friends from many lands.
Together we explore our minds,
We are Ruse and for Ruse we stand.
School of Green and Gold,
Strength to proceed,
To meet our destiny.
We'll sing our song, our song of pride,
With all our might for even when
In times of pain, in times of strife,
We're in pursuit of excellence.
indeed. *dots*
ANYWAY I CONCLUDE THAT MY MUSIC TEACHER IS REALLY COOL (which actually means hilarious in my case)
we got this assignment for music (theory. bleah. or rather music history. even bleah-er) and instead of printing it out, he wants us to email it to him, to save paper and ink. which is cool.
the hilarious thing is his email: pattywong@hotmail.com. HAHAHAHAHA i hope i am not er.. infringing on his privacy rights or something by disclosing his email but yes please no one spam him T_T
and LOL i thought i'd never join choir again because ruse couldn't possibly need an accompanist but turns out they do? LOL. but i don't know. mr wong (the ONLY music teacher in the whole school, omigosh, and in charge of choir and band and everything which is sad. but shows that he is pro) was like to the year 11 music class today, "anyone interested in doing some accompanying for the choir to gain favour from me? don't worry, the gain favour bit is a joke. i'm impartial. by my OWN JUDGEMENT that is, of course" HAHAHAHAHA. and then he's like "and ELAINE! i heard from chan (supposedly they met at HSC marking. and yes they talked about me behind my back) that you used to do accompanying at carlo..." me: ....................................... while everyone turns and looks at me. zzzzzzzzz
but yeah, just that supposedly his current accompanist is not reliable. LOL er yeah. who's in my music class as well *coughcough* and supposedly we can take turns or something. but nooooo i'm not sure if i want to. see how. XDDDD
and i have thus concluded that the ruse secret to success is NOT ALLOWING THEIR STUDENTS TO SLACK FOR ONE SINGLE BIT. well, not to the point of overworking them til insanity, but yes, there is no such thing as YAY NO HOMEWORK today. well probably there is, when you get an assignment due 2 weeks from now, and you happily think, yay i can do that tomorrow, but noooooooooooooo tomorrow you get bombarded with say, maths homework, and then it goes on and on and OMIGOSH TWO WEEKS ARE NEARLY OVER AND YOU HAVEN'T STARTED ON THAT ASSIGNMENT YET.
maybe i'm being a bit er.. extreme, but i am sooooo not taking that risk. and YAY so i shall happily do all my work in advance as much as possible. pretty cool way of time management is prioritising and working backwards. like. i want to go to sleep 10:30pm today. and then first do work that is due tomorrow, and so on and so forth, and if i feel like i'm about to explode i happily take a break (well deserved ok! like this. which is going on for a bit longer than expected, but oh wells XD i'll survive... HOPEFULLY. *coughcough*) and yeah.
being overwhelmed is not a nice feeling. but then i am blessed, and at times it really feels as if the only thread that i'm hanging on to is knowing that God is there and He listens and He understands and HE HELPS! ^^ which appears in the small things in life, which one knows is His doing when one is on the lookout for it, and really, His grace is just amazing, and He is wonderful and great and loving and YAY I LOVE GOD =]
haha yay shall end this on a very positive note then =] AND GO DO BIO HW. HAHAHAHA (oops so much for "positive ending" *cough*)
