improvisation and bach inventions.

o.O hmmm XD
but yes, that is what wong wanted us to do. blahhhhhhh T_T
improvisation of one of bach's two part inventions... life is sad T_T
actually, the BEST way of improvising (according to one of my friends, HAHAHAHA) is:
attempting to sightread it, making up a few notes for the notes you can't reach, screw the bass and just play the chords, and ta-da pass it off as an improv. and HAHAHAH it actually doesn't work too bad XPPP it SOUNDS like an improv. XP
fun.
wong was trying to convince us to let him film us so he could youtube it? o.O (apparently he posts numerous vids of his students... hmmm shall try and find vids of the previous yr 11 cohort, HAHAHA)
louisa was like, "mr wong, you don't want us to be flamed by the general musical population do you?"
wong, "o.O of course not!"
louisa, "what would you think if you saw a vid of students horribly distorting one of bach's lovely compositions?"
wong, "oh.. i get your drift."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
hmm yes. but it WAS kind of fun, in a weird way...
amusing, more like. XP i practically turned the poor invention into a modern pop-sounding thing.. (bach must be turning in his grave ><")
went back to carlo on wednesday!
talked to teachers, saw friends (YAY) and hmmm yes... shall not blog about it, actually (if not i'll end up rambling and rambling and end up emo-ing and feeling sad T_T)
really really enjoyed myself though!!!!!
and whee on thursday (ytd) there was church service. COOL XD hahahaha
basically periods 1 and 2 were replaced by this "religion" thing, and catholics went off to some catholic church, hindus to a temple, buddhists to somewhere else, and protestants to the school hall, and non-scripture to the LT for a talk on atheism T_T.
apparently it's a twice a year thing, but still, pretty cool, XDDDDDDD hahahaha
AND
i think i'm auditioning for the school musical. THINK XP
hahahahahahaha. cause i'm accompanying 2 ppl for the auditions, and then shiling (one of them) was like, elaine, you should audition as well!!!!!
me: noooooooooo *coughcough* i want to be in the set crew!
shiling: ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh..
and then, today.
shiling: i heard you can be in the set crew AND have a minor role for musical you know?
me: really????
hmmmm YES
sad that minor roles need to audition as well T_T but but but, it'd be SO COOL to be involved in the musical (other than being in the set crew. but set crew will be chao fun - year 11s get priority, hahahaha - cause get to paint stuff and yes!). was previously thinking of being in the chorus, but apparently no year 11 with any self dignity allows him/herself to be in the chorus, so i was like. oh. XD
hmm but yes, it's a good balance actually. lead roles = very time consuming and waste a lot of time, whereas minor roles and generally a bit.. boring? XDDD
BUT. if i played a minor role AND am in set crew, then i wouldn't be so bored.
AND IT'LL BE SUCH A COOL EXPERIENCE!
everyone says so XDD
and yes, all music students are involved in the musical somehow or other so yes I SHALL AUDITION *cough* and embarrass myself, HAHAHAHA
lala should stop rambling and go do hw. blahhhhh T_T i hate hw.
