escapism at its best

it really doesn't get any better than this. lunch, movie, shopping, snacking, laughing, gossiping... ^^ kikki.k is awesome =D beyond awesome, actually. definitely on my birthday/xmas wishlist, hahahaha. along with hmm. guitar + crochet stuff + (koigu) yarn. hahahahaha. but way too expensive, which is why it's on my "wishlist" XD (as opposed to needing a laptop, hahahaha ^^)
avatar in 3D was really breathtaking. and so heart-renderingly sad ='( i guess it was a
happy ending but SO MANY PEOPLE DIED T_T. seriously, and all of them were so lovable. sad!!! i wonder if they'll ever make a sequel. I HOPE SO! (note: this is the first time EVER in my whole life when i have ever hoped that there would be a sequel to a movie. so they better not ruin it =D) but yeah, really
my type of movie *coughcough* think: cliche with a twist, beautiful soundtrack, amazing graphics, out of this world, and lots and lots of attitude... you get the idea, hahahaha XD after all, movies are the best place to forget the realities and burdens of life for just those few short hours in the dark where you get lost in a completely new world, and just... feel and see through the eyes of the characters. i love movies.
good movies. LOL
lil bought a cookie daily calendar (recipe a day for 365 days!) and i was sorely tempted to get the cupcake daily calendar. ah well, there seemed to be a lot in stock, so my rationale is that come feb/march i shall go again and see how much cheaper it is =D also, getting the calendar would mean splurging on stuff such as nicer baking trays and paper cupcake cups and confectioner's sugar for icing and ohmygosh AN ELECTRIC MIXER. which would totally deplete my personal savings, which is not happening because i need to save up for end of year trip. meh. (which was why lil decided on the cookie calendar, because cookies are so awesomely fuss-free =D)
and despite the fact that i got a really nice (yellow! but long/drapey, meh, LOL) top at 60% off, macquarie fails. seriously. we went through EVERY. SINGLE. SHOP. and could not find black, plain, knee-length tights. !!! sure, there were socks, and stockings, and all types of weird hosiery, and tights with studs and butterflies and stripes and lace... whatever happened to plain black tights?! (well, to be honest, myer had them, but they were $25, which is like. ... ... ...)
oh well. macquarie is redeemed by the shop "Typo". i can't believe i never noticed it before, but it is definitely a stationery shop with an attitude. and oh how i love attitude =D possibly the most innovative post-it notes i have ever seen (and the fact that i'm only describing them as innovative with no other adjective shows how truly corrupted i am. sigh):

i know more than one person who would appreciate it as a gift, hahaha =D
ooh and food. FOOD <3 (which is why this time next year i will be as round as a balloon, really, i eat so much) i think i almost always spend the most money on food (which isn't as sad and horrid as it sounds, cause if i was in sg, i'd be spending the LEAST money on food. or maybe not, LOL)
macquarie has weird laksa, meh. i miss proper, singaporean laksa. T_T but easyway is awesome at macquarie =D and krispy kreme doughnuts (glazed blueberry, mudcake) + banana milkshake! =D (i guess if you're in australia, you stick to the australian food and you can't go wrong, HAHAHA) but yes, see why i'm gradually on my way to becoming a balloon? =/
and who could forget the people who aren't the icing on top of the cake but are the essence of the cake =D and it was extremely funny how we kept running into people, like squarehead and ambika and yeah. HAHAHAHA. amusing XD
ah well, hopefully reality doesn't start sinking in until i fall asleep, because there are officially ONLY TWO WEEKS OF HOLS LEFT. oh. my. gosh. (yes i definitely sound like a bimbo. must be excessive shopping in search of tights. sigh) and really, i think walking out of the shopping centre was so symbolic. because inside it was all airconditioned and cool and comfortable and happy, and then you walk out and you're just completely knocked over by the heat and the scorching sun at 6pm in the afternoon (felt like being roasted alive, really). ah well, at least it'll drop from the horrid 39 today to a bearable 27 tomorrow. =D
sigh, maybe somehow, i'll fall asleep tonight and wake up, finding myself in the body of my very own personal avatar and then i shall go find ewya (or the equivalent in whatever world i find myself in) and abandon my earthly body XD and the bonus is that i retain all my memories ^^
