sundays are always so... refreshing. and forever a reminder that despite everything, God is always in control and it
will always work out in the end. and it's just so amazing to reflect on how far i've come and how much i'm starting to be actively involved in this huge family, and there's so much gratitude and wonder that wow, i'm being given such a huge huge privilege ^^
this time last year, all i did was play piano for worship once a fortnight. and i attended youth group every sunday morning, which was lovely sometimes, but sometimes it just really didn't click.
and now, i'm still piano-ing, yay =D but i'm now helping out with kidschurch, starting next week, YAY! =D going to take the preschool group, which will be awesome ^^ and a new connect service for young adults is being initiated for sunday evenings, so i think i'll be going along to that instead, and yeah, just really thank God that my questions/prayer has been answered... i'm staying =]
and it really is wonderful how God has blessed me in the school community as well and yeah, it's amazing that He led me into such a supportive + loving christian network at ruse. school is exciting every day, hahahahaha XD
tuesday afternoons there's leaders where we do a bible study + plan and talk and have fun and share and pray and encourage
thursday lunchtimes i help to lead 11/12 focus (where we read the bible and talk about it and pray for each other ^^)
friday recesses there's 9/10 focus which is quite huge and all the girls are sooooo bubbly =D (last friday we had nearly 20 girls and i was like woahhhhhhh. got to meet all the year 9s and they're all so nice =D having a little trouble with names though ><" and lil was laughing at me, which is unfair, because she had them for 7/8 focus last year)
andand, friday lunchtimes there's ISCF talks!
the thing is, i've done nothing, basically. you wouldn't say i've been proactive and enthusiastic in getting involved... i've always been passive, in that others always approach me first. and to see how much i've grown as a christian and how God has led me and planted me so much more firmly as a Christian, for just... being there and calling myself a christian... it's really encouraging and it reminds me of the truth of what i believe: read the bible, pray, have faith, and God will guide me in my walk with Him ^^
