just finished
another book today. and i've realised that when i put down a book that is
that good, i kind of sink into a depressed mood for a bit T_T ESPECIALLY when on the VERY. LAST. PAGE. the beloved character of the whole trilogy DIES. how... tragic!!! is that?!
in retrospect, i'm quite alarmed at how many books i've read already these holidays.
the bartimaeus trilogy (which is not something i would normally read but i was bored and i like
really thick books, if only to hold them, and i shall just say that i'm really glad i got bored); the whole death note series (not sure if they count as books, but meh); wicked (horrifyingly dark and morbid but in a good way ^^); mercy (what else to say except that it's PICOULT! =D); pride & prejudice; letters to alice (which was a horror to read, but i had to T_T); the "study" trilogy (the first book was lovely, but then it got boring. XD), the boy who lost his face (a 2 hours well spent - very simple, short, but sarcastic and poignant and lovely =D); and i
know i've read more, i just can't recall (which probably means they're not worth recalling *cough*)
and (just to be lame) Joshua, Judges, 1 Samuel, Ecclesiastes, and 1 John XD
so that's hmm... 11 novels, 12 manga books, and 5 bible books, in 5 weeks. quite sad, quite sad. but then again, some single bible verses sum up the entire moral agenda (or completely and utterly undermine, for that matter) of a whole novel. =D
