the weirdest of dreams
- Friday, January 15, 2010 -
this morning i woke serenely to the sun shining warmly through the windows (forgetting to draw the curtains was perhaps not a mistake after all) but only to be assaulted by the sudden memory of a dream. and it was really weird, because the more i thought about it, the clearer it became and the more i remembered.
you could describe it as a nightmare. scary, because it seemed so real and... just really, really real. the colours, the movement, the scenario - no chasings in the air, no mazes through underground tunnels with weird monsters, no waltzing in a restaurant and suddenly finding myself at a train station, and nope, no mixing of different people from different places who've somehow managed to become one big family.
and really, by all respects, the dream was rather trivial, boring, almost. nothing much happening, just an exchange of words - some of which have faded, but some which are somehow seared into my memory. yet after all this was dismissed, there still lingered an inexplicable feeling of resignation, sorrow, bittersweet acceptance, and perhaps something more... and the words made so much sense. and so after breakfast, i had come up with a rationale explanation - after all dreams were but a surfacing of the subconsciousness, yes? - but now as evening falls i wonder if perhaps the conversation did take place and i really was not dreaming but sleepwalking.
if
you accuse me of sounding insane, i shall blame it on the music playlist that has been running on repeat for the past few hours.
