guess what i spent the arvo doing
- Sunday, March 7, 2010 -
not the entire arvo, though XP fit in a good 3 hours of piano, and then went off to connect and had dinner with them for the first time. oh yay-ness (and completely ignoring the fact that i have to do an english essay. a practice one, but nevertheless, i really SHOULD write one. oh man T_T not to mention start making bio notes and doing maths past year papers. mehhh)
but yes, getting ahead of myself
today after preschool emma was like, "by the way, elaine, do you mind organising craft next week?"
"huh?! what? i thought i was timetabled for next next week..."
"oh, erm, rachel can't do it next week cause it's her dad's birthday, so you mind doing it next week? we're doing the jesus feeds 5000 story"
"erm... ok...? haha i guess =]"
(no i was actually rejoicing when i heard the "jesus feeds 5000" bit, cause i had a sudden aha moment about what exactly we could do. and yes, you can try and discern whether i'm being sarcastic or not XP i probably am being sarcastic, by the way XD)
it's quite amazing, that with a bit of digging around i can find craft supplies that i never knew i had. like purple tissue paper, of all things. o.O"
but hey, look at the prototype i made =D (perhaps i should be ashamed that i had so much fun making it *coughcough* but it's so fun to scribble around and the whole point is to make it not so perfect so that the cute preschoolers can replicate it easily XD) and i was missing the bread, because i was thinking... hmmmm need to go get brown paper for the bread.

but i had sudden inspiration and was like. BROWN LUNCH BAGS =D (cheapo? nahh i don't think so XP) i admit the cutting stuff out got tedious after awhile, but i still think it's better than doing english. wayyy better than doing english. and i think the true art of procrastination is when you procrastinate by doing constructive things <3

so yay, all set for next sunday =D except the paper plates, which i need to get more of and staple together for them... it's quite funny, because craft for preschoolers is really just sticking and colouring in - only the oldest can handle scissors and they have such short attention span anyway XD
*shrug* i really love them all XP
totally random, but anyway, connect today was the start of a series of talks about how one would live if you only had a month left. and in the beginning i was just sitting there thinking, "well, if i only had one month left to live, i'm glad that i had so much fun preparing kidschurch craft instead of writing an english essay this afternoon"
to be (remotely, actually, not at all) chim, it's revisiting the joys of childhood =D
