and everything will be alright

it's amazing to perceive how much i've grown by considering how i would have reacted a year ago. a year ago, i would've sunk into the depths of negativity. but now, i'm still afloat. (i'm slightly amsued at myself, because i was half-considering a ranting angsty encrypted post, but then i realised i didn't need it.)

and really, but perhaps no one would believe me, nothing has changed except perspective. i value the friendship as much as i did a year ago, perhaps even more... but now i see the eternal hope in Christ clearer than ever, and knowing that God is always in control is a huge comfort. at the end of the day, He knows what is best, and it's up to me to trust and patiently wait for the explanation, if any is necessary.

you know, it is only today that i realise what moo meant nearly a year ago when he said it was possible to be joyful yet filled with sadness, at the same time.
