i love fridays. they will always be the best day of the week XP
sleep in, get to school and snuggle in a beanbag with a book, chem, english, 9/10 focus, double maths (which is actually very enjoyable with briggs XP), ISCF, double music, jazz with jenns ^^
but today was beyond the amazingness that comes with normal fridays... and thinking of it now i feel so... blessed that in even the smallest things God leads me to beautiful experiences
normally after jazz i take the bus home with tim and frankie, but today lil (who normally gets picked up) said she was going to walk. and since we could walk in the same direction for about 15 min before going our own separate ways, on pure whim i decided to walk with her. so tim and frankie left, and we hung around school chatting for a while.
then squarehead comes up and we find out he's walking as well, but he was going to take a shortcut through the "forest" (which would be almost in the opposite direction that i was walking, but it would be a shortcut for lil as well, as they live what... a street away from each other)
so i ended up taking a
huge detour on my walk home. because meh, it's called
procrastination XP
it was lovely. really, really lovely =] it's been cooling down this past week, and the weather is perfect for walking ^^ and being surrounded by trees, the trickling of water, the crunch of dry leaves underfoot, and laughing and talking and joking around... indescribable XP you have to be there to feel it. i wish i'd thought to take photos then. but i was too preoccupied. but anyway, we got out of the forest, and passed by alan's house, walked to lil's street and then i was on my own.
and as i trudged up the hill through the park to start heading back home, it suddenly hit me just how beautiful it was. this was the park i passed through:

the view further up the hill (in the park)

the light up ahead XD

and then it was out of the park and back to the roads.

along north rocks road

to jenkins road. which was where i met squarehead again. it was kind of a shock, cause i got to the intersection and there he was jogging up towards me (he'd ran back to school and came up the other way, as exercise!!!), and i was just like... what??!! he's crazy. crazy fast, i mean.

pennant hills road, waiting to cross

and then as i waited to cross the road right outside carlo, i turned back and saw this. a photo can't even begin to capture that split second of amazement and wonder at seeing the bold orange streaks across the sky, like splashes of luminous paint across a blue canvas.

and as i turned into my street the sky was the loveliest pink.

and into the house, out the back and onto the deck =]

i'm just so glad i decided to walk today (although it took me more than double the time to get home. but like i said, procrastination at its best XP)
and so thankful that it was such a breathtaking walk. i wish every single sunset was this beautiful...
