in brief overview

this is perhaps the most mundane of posting styles, but i really want to remember what the last week of school has been like. so yup XD
before school: jazz rehearsal.
period 1: bio. learning about citrus canker, honestly quite dreary but somehow iverach manages to make it highly amusing ^^
period 2, recess: more singing! somewhere over the rainbow seriously sounded so much better when we were rehearsing it than during the actual assembly, sigh. *cringe* it's unbelievable that that was our last time singing together :( it has been... an awesome time together and we sound simply lovely when we're singing with our hearts XD (which perhaps means, when we like the songs we're singing? XP)
period 3-4: awards day assembly. hmm the highlight was definitely our performance, hahahahaha. extraordinarily boring, though... apart from interesting speeches and treskin's uber long discourse about failure, *cough*
period 5: luncheon, where there wasn't enough food and people were being quite inconsiderate and it was super squished. but the food was nice ^^ hahahaha! the profiteroles were super yummy :D
lunch: 11/12 focus. the LAST 11/12 focus. wow. :( i guess it's only when everything's ending that i realise just how much i've taken for granted...
period 6: corporal zhang came back to visit and brought saboteur! *note to self: NEVER play saboteur with derek, ever* in ALL the games we played, derek was NEVER the saboteur but he was perhaps the best saboteur of all. seriously. *rages*. i think it was one of the most awesome frees of all time XD
period 7: maths. i can't believe i actually did work in maths... but it was kind of fun, and we were talking and fooling around and everything ^^ and we helped calculate the total marks for yr 11 prelim exams XD
after school 3:30-4:30: leaders. we did a study on the significance of the cross :) i think what it really emphasised for me is that the
only way which we are saved is through Jesus dying on the cross and it is the
only way through which God can reconcile himself with us, and yeah. there's so so so much more but i shall not go into a lengthy and dreary exposition XP
4:30-5:30: interlude. had quite a long discussion with moo about the pros and cons of doing either combined BSc/BEd or BSc/MTch, which was really insightful. at the end of the day, both options will take 5 years, and really both are equally valid choices, which is ultimately such an amazing gift, because God has given me two roads to choose which will both turn out great and it is really something to be rejoicing in, that i am in a position to be able to make these choices ^^ ooh and then there was jungle speed. need i say anything more? i think i almost dislocated joe's thumb... apparently. i am too competitive for my own good XP
5:30-10:30: alumni finally started trickling in :) it was really lovely to re-meet people from last year and matthew actually remembered me, so i was like, wow XD (he even remembered that i was from singapore and used to go to carlingford!) it really is such a blessing to have seniors who love us so much that they'll take time off their uber busy schedules (i think at least... 80% of them are either in the middle of med degrees or a newly practicing doctor XP) and everything they shared was really helpful and encouraging. it's made me look forward to uni a lot more and reaffirmed that God will have awesome plans for me, while at the same time putting me on my guard for temptations and distractions when the lovely ruse bubble inevitably pops. i found it just the
slightest bit amusing that joy is currently finishing BSc, will be doing MTch, and is majoring in biochemistry. (which is kind of er... exactly what i want to do as well XP) and she's at USyd, and an integral member in EU ^^ so that's definitely one person who'll be looking out for me if i end up at USyd XD
and so every step of the way, God is there, guiding me and leading me, reassuring me that everything will turn out just fine. dandy. great. lovely. awesome XD
