I wish english had a plural "you" like greek does.

Random tangent aside, although it was nice to have the whole house to myself for a week, it is so much nicer to have mum and alex back.

This evening as I was cooking with mum, alex walked into the kitchen to pour himself a glass of water. Later at dinner, after sampling the spicy capsicum stir-fry, baby bok choy and oyster mushrooms with pork strips, he asked, "So what did you cook?"
I pointed to the bok choy and mushrooms (my mouth was full).

"Really, you cooked the mushrooms?"
I nodded.

"They're like, good!"
I smiled.

I think I should be left on my own (but not for extended periods of time) more often XD
