Feeling quite retrospective today, and I can't help looking back and seeing how much things have changed. How much I've changed. A few years ago, today would have held so much more significance, but now, it passes by almost silently.

Reflecting on what Driscoll has to say about the state of the heart, I cannot agree more on how amazing God's grace and mercy is. For He has given me a new heart, a heart that desires Him, and for all my lapses into sin and apathy, draws me continually back in the worship of Him and the satisfaction I find in the pursuit of His glory reveals the weak desires of the flesh for what they really are - worthless.

It's so easy to ramble on, but head knowledge never equals to heart knowledge. I know that I will stray from my convictions, but I know too that God will never forsake me. And I find hope in these moments of brilliant clarity, knowing that when darkness threatens to overwhelm that He is forever my light and refuge.
